Patient Presentation

A ≥ 65-year-old Female presented with Numbness, Tingling, Nerve pain (such as shooting pain, electric shock pain), Weakness at Hands, Feet for Persistent (≥3 months).

Presenting Complaint

patient felt persistent numbness, could not feel his feet that lead to insomnia and requested for something to help HbA1c is normal- hence ruled out PN due to diabetes

Provided counselling on symptom management, Recommended vitamins or supplements, Provided lifestyle guidance

Patient planned to monitor symptoms, Patient agreed to seek medical advice, Outcome unknown

Key learning / Clinical insight

Patient was given vitamin B6,B12 to supplement. when do we determine patients require further lab work up, or refer to neuro for nerve conduction studies ? suggested for MRI to rule out other conditions.
