A 50-64-year-old Prefer not to say presented with Numbness, Tingling, Nerve pain (such as shooting pain, electric shock pain), Weakness at Feet, Legs for Recent onset (<3 months).

Presenting Complaint

A pt went to the drugstore to have his glucose test monitoring. He suffers from numbness, weakness & tingling of the thighs down to his legs, for few successive days. He says it usually happens at night or sometimes, suddenly like an electric shock.

From this case, a pharmacist must be knowledgeable how to determine possible causes of patients signs & symptoms. Ask the patient’s history: meds taken, diagnosis, allergies. Advise patient for proper monitoring, home remedies, and symptoms mngt. Persuade the patient for consultations & check ups.
