Patient Presentation

A 50-64-year-old Female presented with Numbness, Nerve pain (such as shooting pain, electric shock pain) at Hands for Persistent (≥3 months).

Presenting Complaint

the patient walkin to check her blood pressure and glucose level as she rarely goes annual checkup. her SMBG was 11mmol/L, which suprised her. therefore , i provided counselling regarding hyperglycemia and symptoms that commonly occur. she admitted that she experienced persistent numbness and sometimes shooting pain along the wrist area too. so i made a referral letter to GP to confirm her diagnosis. in the meantime, i supply vitamins containing ALA and vitamin b1,b6 and b12 to prevent further nerve damage and provide counselling on non-pharmacological management

always discuss deeply, check patient background and try to create the conversations like mother and daughter just to make them feel comfortable sharing with us dont advised to cut everything abruptly like cut sugar. its good to discuss with nutritionist to improve pt outcome
